A comprehensive guide to help you get the most out of Stocktric.
Dashboard Overview
The dashboard is your central hub for monitoring inventory status. Here you'll find:
- •Quick Stats: Total items, available, checked out, and in maintenance
- •Recent Activity: Latest check-outs, returns, and updates
- •Upcoming Reservations: Scheduled equipment bookings
- •Alerts: Overdue items and maintenance due
Pro Tip
Customize your dashboard by clicking the settings icon to show or hide widgets based on your role and preferences.
Managing Inventory
Adding Items
- Navigate to Inventory in the sidebar
- Click the Add Item button
- Fill in the required fields: Name, SKU, Category
- Add optional details: Description, photos, purchase info
- Set the location and initial quantity
- Click Save to create the item
Editing Items
- Find the item in your inventory list
- Click on the item to open details
- Click the Edit button
- Make your changes
- Click Save Changes
Check-out Process
Select Item
Find the item you want to check out from the inventory list or scan its QR code.
Choose User
Select who is checking out the item and set the expected return date.
Confirm
Review the details and confirm the check-out. The item status updates automatically.
QR Code Scanning
Every item in Stocktric can have a unique QR code. Scanning makes check-outs and lookups instant:
- •Click the QR scanner icon in the top navigation
- •Allow camera access when prompted
- •Point your camera at the item's QR code
- •The item details page opens automatically
Printing QR Codes
Generate and print QR code labels from the item details page. You can print individual labels or batch print for multiple items.
Reservations
The reservation system allows staff to book equipment in advance, ensuring availability when needed.
Creating a Reservation
- Go to Reservations page
- Click New Reservation
- Select the item(s) you need
- Choose start and end dates
- Add a purpose/reason
- Submit for approval
Reservation Statuses
- ●Pending: Awaiting manager approval
- ●Approved: Confirmed and scheduled
- ●Checked Out: Item is currently in use
- ●Completed: Item has been returned
Maintenance Management
Creating a Maintenance Ticket
- Go to Maintenance page
- Click New Ticket
- Select the item or vehicle
- Describe the issue
- Set priority level
- Assign to a technician (optional)
Tracking Repairs
- •View all open tickets on the Maintenance dashboard
- •Update status as work progresses
- •Add notes and cost information
- •Mark as resolved when complete
- •Full history saved for each item
